Mechanics and 3D printing: chassis, wheels, grippers. Children design simple parts and print them on the lab printers.
Wire and program
Motors, sensors and microcontrollers, programmed in blocks first and then in Python.
Train
First steps in embodied AI: record demonstrations, let the robot repeat them, check what works and why.
A four-week project.
Week 1. Build a small driving robot and test the motors.
Week 2. Add a distance sensor and program obstacle avoidance.
Week 3. Design and 3D print a gripper or a sensor mount.
Week 4. Show the robot a task, let it repeat it, present the result to the group and parents.
Up to 6 hours a week for kids.
The lab opens to kids for three sessions of 2 hours a week. A membership is one session per week, 4 visits a month.
Final times are confirmed with families before opening. Groups are formed by age and level.
A lab built for adults, organised for children.
- Small groups and two adults in the room during every session.
- Children use tools only after a safety briefing, with eye protection.
- Heavy robots move only in a marked test area, with emergency stops within reach.
- No photos of children without written parental consent.
